Our warranty ensures we stand by our work long after we’ve installed the solar panels and you’ve turned on the power.

A solar PV system is one of the best investments you can make in your home. It increases the value of your home and reduces your environmental impact (and your bills!). But it is also an expensive investment, and it is certainly one you want to last.

At ECC, we also believe in making the most of your investment and making it last for the long-term. That is why we offer a 5-year unlimited warranty for straight grid-tied residential systems, covering labor, hardware, system performance design, and workmanship.  We stand behind our products and our work by offering our customers the best warranty in the solar industry. That means you can feel confident in your investment!

Our 5-year unlimited warranty wraps around the manufacturer warranties provided by our excellent component manufacturers. Read on to learn more about what we offer!

The parts make the whole

In order to understand your solar PV system warranty, you need to understand that your system is composed of different parts that are all handled separately. A typical system is going to include solar modules, power inverters, possibly a battery system, and most importantly, our workmanship and hardware. All of these components are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty and backed up by ECC.

The heart of the system—your solar modules

Your solar PV system is comprised of a series of solar panels, or solar modules, which are protected by a tempered glass housing held together by an aluminum frame. This system is very durable and designed to withstand all that the harsh desert environment may send its way in the years to come.

In addition, the cells inside the panels are designed to last many years and maintain performance throughout the life of the warranty. Our solar modules come with a 25-year linear power warranty.

Power inverters

Simply put, the power inverters convert the power of the sun into power that can be used in your home. The power inverter is the most likely part of your system to experience problems, so we only use top-of-the-line inverters with a minimum 10-year warranty, which is right in line with industry standards.

Batteries are just what you think they are—a mechanism for storing power produced by your solar PV system. Not all applications or customers require a battery backup, but for those who do, we use quality battery systems produced by name-brand manufacturers. Our batteries have a minimum of a one-year warranty, although some newer-technology manufacturers are providing much longer warranties.
